Meet Our Residents

Every animal at The Funny Farm has a story, a unique personality, and a permanent home. Here are a few of the faces you’ll meet.

Henry and Charlie, two rescued pigs, resting side by side at the sanctuary

Pigs

Henry & Charlie

Henry (formerly King) & Charlie are the sweetest, most chill pigs on the farm.

Highly intelligent and human-connected, these two gentle giants may look intimidating, but both will drop and roll over for a belly rub in an instant—unless there’s a treat happening somewhere else!

Pigs

Violet & Little Miss Patty Petunia

Talk about a transformation!

These two arrived so timid, especially little Patty. Now Violet is happy to roll over for a belly rub, and Patty eagerly takes treats from Jenny’s hands. We don’t know exactly what life was like before, but Patty knows now that she is safe from harm. These two always hunker down together at bedtime.

Pigs

Molly & Maggie

Molly (the large gray one) and little Maggie, with her blue eyes and half-pink nose.

Maggie was especially timid when she arrived, but two years later we don’t think she remembers a bad time in her life. Molly is very sweet and friendly and is always snuggled up with Maggie. Along with Poe, Molly and Maggie are the three original residents of the sanctuary.

Pumba

“Get goats,” they said!

Pumba is a Nigerian Dwarf/Pygmy mix and our alpha goat. He is always looking for new ways to destroy the gates and fences—and keeps everyone on their toes.

Sven

What can we say?

Sven got his head stuck in the fence his very first night on the farm, and it kept happening every day—until some good goat advice: duct-taping PVC pipe to his horns so they won’t fit through. It’s worked like a charm! In the Florida heat, getting stuck would be dangerous, so Sven has happily learned to live with his stylish headgear.

The Goat Trio

Rehomed together.

Our three goats came to the sanctuary as a rehome when their owner joined the police academy and no longer had enough time for them. Now they spend their days climbing, playing, and supervising the farm.

Rescued chickens free-ranging in the sunshine at The Funny Farm Sanctuary

Ducks & Chickens

The Flock

14 ducks and 50+ chickens.

Splashing, scratching, and enjoying the Florida sunshine, our feathered residents free-range around the farm and make every day lively—especially when there are little ones in tow.
